RAHIM YAR KHAN: Rail traffic remained suspended for five hours near the Khanpur railway station when three coaches of the Karachi-bound Awam Express derailed.

Awam Express coming from Peshawar reached near the Khanpur railway station and its three coaches derailed. As the speed was low, a small portion of the track was damaged and closed for traffic.

Greenline Express and Shah Hussain Express were halted at the Liaquatpur and Feroza stations. Later, the Khanpur railway staff separated the train from the derailed coaches and repaired the track, which took five hours.
