TOBA TEK SINGH: A man was run over and killed allegedly by her daughter’s friend at Rajana late on Sunday.

The police said Aurangzeb’s married daughter Samina Sadiq eloped with Tanweer Baloch, of Chak 24/12-L, Chichawatni, a week ago. Through a panchayat, Aurangzeb brought her back, but she again disappeared from the house late on Sunday.

Aurangzeb followed the car in which Sadiq was taking her away on his motorcycle, but the car hit his motorcycle and as a result, he died instantly.

The Rajana police are investigating.

HELD: The Jhang’s Kotwali police arrested on Monday Rab Nawaz Pappu and recovered from him more than 300 imported liquor bottles and tin packs of beer.

Jhang investigation SP Usman Munir Saifi told a press conference the suspect was transporting the consignment by a motorcycle loader rickshaw when the police stopped him on Farooq Azam Road and seized 244 bottles of liquor and 90 tin packs of beer in the sacks.

He said there were a number of narcotic cases already registered against Pappu and his accomplices in different police stations.

ELECTROCUTED: A woman was electrocuted on Monday at Chak Samananwala located on Sargodha Road.

Rescue 1122 reported that deceased Saba Parveen, 25, went up to her house’s roof when she accidentally touched live electric wires passing over the roof. She received a heavy shock and died instantly.

Meanwhile, at Faisalabad’s Chak Jhumra Road near Nigahbanpura railway level crossing, 15-year-old mentally challenged boy Soodi climbed up to an electric pole and touched a live electricity wire, as a result, he received a shock and died.

In a road accident, a young man identified as Ahmad Raza died instantly when his motorcycle and a mini-truck collided on Canal Road near Guttwala Civic Centre in Faisalabad.
