TOBA TEK SINGH: Heavy windstorm caused the felling of hundreds of trees and dozens of electricity poles, transformers, solar panels, signboards and billboards in Shorkot Cantonment late on Sunday.

Trees and electricity poles fell at three spots, however, motorists and Fesco staffers removed them and cleared the roads for traffic. The electricity supply was suspended as a result of the collapse of poles and the destruction of wires for several hours.

Fesco employees repaired the wires, but some localities of Shorkot Cantonment and a number of villages were still facing the closure of power supply.

No casualty was reported.
