SLIC pays record bonus

KARACHI: State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC) has paid the highest-ever bonus of Rs86.65 billion to

its policyholders in 2021, up by 13 per cent from Rs76bn in 2020.

The corporation paid Rs98.33bn of claims to the customers as compared to Rs65bn, up by 52pc than 2020.

New business sales had achieved a growth of 100pc to Rs71.78bn from Rs36bn while total business sales improved by 36pc to Rs162bn from Rs119bn. The investment income earned in 2021 amounted to Rs117bn, showing a rise of 13pc from previous year’s Rs104bn. Corporation’s assets rose to Rs1.37 trillion from Rs1.2tr.
