RAWALPINDI: A man was gunned down in Hazara Colony, Pirwadhai on Monday.

Police and rescue services said that the victim identified as Fateh Gul, 45, was walking towards his house when he was shot and killed by an unidentified person who managed to escape.

The body of the victim was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem.

Police said the motive behind the murder was yet to be established.

A bullets riddled body of an unidentified woman was found from Jatli police area. The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem. Police have been investigating to identify the victim and motive behind the murder.

Meanwhile, three women were robbed of gold jewellery worth Rs2 million by two robbers in Dhoke Matkal in Ratta Amral police area.

Asif Khan complained to the police that his wife, sister and brother’s wife were returning home after shopping when they were intercepted by two persons who snatched gold jewellery the women were wearing at that time after threatening them and later escaped.

A young man was killed while two pillion riders were badly injured in a collision between a motorcycle and car in Bahria Town Phase VIII on Monday night.

According Rescue 1122, three young men Jibran, 17, Basit, 20 and Asad Illahi,15, were riding on a motorcycle when they were hit by a speeding car in Bahria Town Phase VIII.

As a result, Jibran 17 died on the spot while two others Basit and Asad were critically injured . The injured were shifted to hospital where they were stated to be in critical condition.
