DEAR MURAD JAMALI: A man killed his daughter-in-law and a man in the name of “honour” in a village near Dera Murad Jamali town of Nasirabad district on Sunday.

Police said the incident took place in Goth Ghabi of Manjhoo Shori area of the district, where the accused, identified as Nureez, gunned down his daughter-in-law, Rabina, and one Muhammad Akram on suspicion that both had illicit relations.

Both the victims died on the spot after receiving multiple bullet injuries. The police rushed to the site and shifted the bodies to the district hospital in Dera Murad Jamali for autopsy.

The bodies were handed over to the heirs after medico-legal formalities.

The accused, who had managed to escape after committing the crime, was later arrested by the police during a raid and a case of double murder has been registered against him.

Ten people — including women and men — had been killed in as many days in Nasirabad division alone in the name of honour.
