KARACHI: A field of 10 horses will make their presence felt in the Quetta Cup which features prominently in a five-race card of the winter Gymkhana race meeting being held at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

The Quetta Cup which is the fourth race in order, has been classified under combined scale order III and IV and will go over four-and-a-half furlongs.

Thoroughbred horse Believe In Cash from the King’s Stud will make its debut in the cup race.

The next race which is the day’s feature event — scale order I and II —will see seven horses vying for honours over five furlongs.

The first two races will be contested over four furlongs while the third will take place over four-and-a-half furlongs.

Altogether, 38 horses will be seen in action barring last-minute withdrawal(s).

The first race starts at 2.30pm.
