HYDERABAD: A division bench of Sindh High Court comprising Justice Salahuddin Panhwar and Justice Omar Sial has directed the inspector general of registration to submit a mechanism for registration connected with the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) in revenue matters.

The court said that such report be filed in view of the order passed by Supreme Court on Sept 3, 2021 and an SHC order dated July 23, 2021 after six weeks.

Petitioner Noor Mohammad Memon, an abadgar of district Matiari, said he had purchased 8-29 acres of land in Matiari on March 24, 1974.

He said he learnt that the property was mutated on the basis of oral gift statement/entry of June 26, 1994.

He prayed to court that the respondents be directed to specify a timeframe for keeping entries on form VII-B and form-II after registration of documents not later than one week and maintain electronic, computerised, readable and legible online backup revenue record duly signed by revenue officer.
