HYDERABAD, Jan 25: The district Nazim, Hyderabad, Dr. Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman, ordered an enquiry regarding 62 lady teachers whose services were terminated and who were protesting for reinstatement and appointed a committee to probe into the matter.

The five-member committee is headed by the Taluka Nazim, Latifabad, Abdul Jabbar Khan, while the EDO (Education), Hyderabad, M. Hakim, member, Public Safety Committees, Mr. Ameenuddin, and Munir Bhatti, President, PTA, Hyderabad, will be its members.

The committee will submit its report to the district Nazim as early as possible.

PROBLEMS HEARD: The district Nazim, Hyderabad, Dr. Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman, visited Sehrish Nagar locality in Qasimabad and heard the problems of the people including victims of ethnic riots.

He constituted a committee headed by executive district officer (revenue), Hyderabad, Syed Shakeel Naqvi.

The other members of the committee will be the Taluka Nazim, Qasimabad, the Naib Nazim, Qasimabad, and the deputy district officer, Revenue, Hyderabad, among others.

The committee will probe into the land matters of Sehrish Nagar during various phases and submit its report to the district Nazim.

research: The vice chancellor, Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam, Bashir Ahmed Chandio, has called upon the research scholars to undertake research for increasing the per acre yield of cash crops.

He was talking on the thesis of research scholar Abdul Jabbar Memon for his MPhil degree in entomology.

Mr Chandio said only those pesticides should be used on crops which destroyed pests but did not affect environment.

He urged scholars to evolve such varieties of crops which required minimum quantity of water.
