RAWALPINDI: There has been no decline in the number of dengue fever patients even as temperature in the twin cities fell below 14°C.

Doctors had highlighted earlier that dengue mosquitoes will perish once the temperature drops below 16°C.

On Sunday, 81 patients landed in three government-run hospitals while seven patients were in critical condition.

However, 95 patients were discharged from the hospitals after recovery from the disease.

A total of 712 suspected patients arrived in the outdoor patient departments (OPDs) of the hospitals.

According to the data of Rawalpindi Medical University, 43 new patients landed in Holy Family Hospital (HFH), 23 in Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) and 15 in District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.

As many as 211 patients are admitted in three hospitals - 67 in Holy Family Hospital (HFH), 97 in Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) and 47 in the DHQ hospital.

As many as 95 patients were discharged from hospitals during the last 24 hours whereas 1,941 patients, after recovery, have been discharged so far in the season.
