KARACHI: Upcoming Eman Hassan stormed into cadet and junior girls singles final in the eighth Prof Dr Essa Mohammad Abdullah Ranking Table Tennis Tournament which commenced at the Sindh Sports Board (SSB) Sports Complex on Friday.

Eman chalked up back-to-back victories over Salma 11-3, 11-5, 11-3 and Meerab Ahmed 11-2, 11-3, 11-2 to make it to the cadet girls singles final.

Fresh from her triumphs, she maintained her unbeaten run by getting the better of Maryam Shahzad 11-3, 11-1, 11-3 and Syeda Wania 11-4, 11-3, 11-3 to advance into the junior girls singles final.

Eman is set to face Syeda Wania in the cadet girls sing­les final on Saturday after the latter was home 11-6, 11-9, 11-5 against Abrish Noman.

Eman, who is on course for a double, will be up against Bushra Anwar in the junior girls singles final. Bushra had accounted for Abrish Noman 11-3, 11-3, 11-2 in the second semi-final.

Cadet girls singles (quarter-finals): Eman Hassan bt Salma 11-3, 11-5, 11-3; Meerab Ahmed bt Javeria 11-3, 11-2, 11-4; Syeda Wania bt Harmain Syed 11-9, 11-1, 11-4; Abrish Noman bt Noureen 11-8, 11-9, 11-7.

Cadet girls singles (semi-finals): Eman Hassan bt Meerab Ahmed 11-2, 11-3, 11-2; Syeda Wania bt Abrish Noman 11-6, 11-9, 11-5.

Junior girls singles (quarter-finals): Abrish Noman bt Umme Hani 11-7, 11-8, 11-7; Eman Hassan bt Maryam Shahzad 11-3, 11-1, 11-3; Syeda Wania bt Esha Faraz 12-10, 11-4, 11-3; Bushra Anwar bt Harmain Syed 11-2, 11-1, 11-1.

Junior girls singles (semi-finals): Bushra Anwar bt Abrish Noman 11-3, 11-3, 11-2; Eman Hassan bt Syeda Wania 11-4, 11-3, 11-3.
