HYDERABAD, Nov 10: Comp-laints of erratic power supply have increased over the last couple of days in different sub-divisions of Hesco. Hesco has so far cited no reason for power failures, causing numerous problems in homes, offices and business centres.

The erratic power supply has badly affected work in government offices and hospitals.

The power suspension in the morning hours proved to be troublesome as people had to prepare children going to schools and iron their uniforms.

MIRPURKHAS: Residents of Baloch Para, Lalachandabad, held a protest demonstration on Thursday against the Hesco city sub-division for suspending power to the area for 36 hours.

The transformer of Baloch Para suddenly went out of order on Wednesday morning, causing suspension of power supply. Hesco officials arrived but did not install another transformer.

Akbar Khan, Faiz Bux, Faqir Mohammad, Abdullah Baloch, Akhtar Khan and other residents told journalists that they were without power for 36 hours. They said Hesco officials had not changed or installed another transformer.

They said they were facing hardships. They demanded that the Hesco chief executive should take notice of the matter and order an inquiry. The power supply was not restored till the filing of this report.
