LAHORE:The Punjab government has decided to reverse its decision of increasing the ratio of property tax, says provincial minister Mian Aslam Iqbal in a meeting with the Lahore Chamber President Mian Tariq Misbah.

The minister apprised the LCCI president on Thursday about the business-friendly initiatives the government is going to take in the next few months.

He said the increase in property tax ratio would be withdrawn in the upcoming cabinet meeting.

The government is likely to introduce a bill to the effect in the Punjab Assembly session starting from Friday (today) to amend the Finance Bill 2021.

Three more amendment bills related to Punjab Board of Revenue, Evacuee Property and Displaced Persons Laws (Repeal), and Punjab Wildlife Protection will be introduced, while the Punjab Commission for Regularization of Irregular Housing Schemes (amendment) Ordinance 2021 will also be laid before the house.
