SUKKUR: Former Sukkur mayor Barrister Arsalan Islam Shaikh on Sunday thanked Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Sindh chief minister for appointing him as special assistant on Sukkur affairs.

“I am really honoured for the trust the party leadership has reposed in me and considered me capable for this assignment,” he said in a press statement.

“I will try my level best to come up to the leadership’s expectations with hard work and integrity and will serve general public in the light of the party’s Ideology,” he vowed.

He believed the provincial government’s coordination with district and local government bodies would ensure improvement in all sectors of administration.
