QUETTA: Four people were injured in a blast in the Hazar Ganji wholesale fruit and vegetable market here on Monday.

A spokesman for the Counter-Terrorism Department said the explosion took place outside the main gate of the market, resulting in the injuries to four people. “A vehicle of the Frontier Corps, Balochistan, was also slightly damaged in the blast,” the CTD official said, adding that an improvised explosive device (IED) containing one kilogram of explosives had been used in the blast.

Police and CTD teams rushed to the area after the blast and shifted the injured to Bolan Medical College Hospital.
