KARACHI: The winners and runners-up of the Gatorade Trophy ranking tennis are seen with chief guest Shakir Ali and KTA officials at the Union Club.

KARACHI: Farhan Altaf of Karachi Club emerged victorious in Men’s Singles final of the Gatorade Trophy ranking tennis which concluded at the Union Club recently. Farhan beat talented Muhammad Ali of Malir Garrison in a well fought match by 6-3, 7-5.

In the wheelchair tennis final, Muhammad Irfan beat Muhammad Ayub by 6-3.

Shakir Ali of Pepsi Pakistan, Altaf Hussain and Zafer Hasan both Vice Presidents KTA and Khalid Rehmani, President KTA distributed Trophies to winners and runners up of various events.

Khalid Rehmani announced to hold 8th Indus Pharma National tennis, the 3rd Afeef Trophy ranking tennis and 18th Westbury Open in the months of August and September in Karachi. He added that the Saturday Welfare Group Wheelchair Tennis and Special Athletes Camp shall continue for three more months at Union Club.

Sarwar Hussain was the organising secretary of the week long championships.
