GWADAR: Power supply from Iran to three districts of Balochistan remained suspended on Wednesday even after the passage of 36 hours.

Iranian authorities stopped the supply to Makran division, including Gwadar, through its 132KV Jekigor transmission line on Tuesday due to maintenance work.

A spokesman for the Quetta Electric Supply Company, Afzal Mengal, said the Iranian authorities restored only 8MW of power supply at 1pm, while the three districts needed over 70MW. He said Qesco was providing electricity to different areas by rotation after getting 8MW power supply from Iran.
