KARACHI: Former Sindh champions Sohail Shehzad, Abdul Sattar and Agha Bilawal registered second successive victories to ensure a berth in the last-16 round of the 29th Sindh Snooker Cup here at a local parlour on Wednesday.

Sohail brushed aside Rizwan Abbas 4-1 (77-36, 92-33, 39-47, 73-19, 79-11). Similarly Sattar outplayed veteran Mohammad Yousuf 4-1 (117-9, 51-64, 90-28, 91-1, 114-1) and Bilawal subdued Hunain Memon 4-2 (83-52, 56-39, 23-66, 27-86, 73-38, 48-42).

Meanwhile, another former Sindh champion Jawed Ansari who lost his first match the other day, made the amends when he prevailed over Sheroz Zameer 67-57, 60-0, 64-20, 72-20.

With back-to-back defeats, Yousuf is out of reckoning from the race.

The league concludes on Thursday and will be followed by the knockout round.
