SHANGLA: The district police have registered a case against the watchman of government girls middle school

Shekolai over alleged sexual assault attempt on a student in Chawga area of Makhozi tehsil.

Chawga police station SHO Dawar Khan told this correspondent on Thursday that the 16-year-old student came to the police station the other day along with her brother and recorded her statement.

She said she was waiting for the van after the school on June 18, 2021, when the watchman offered her juice but she refused.

The watchman threatened her and tried to assault her but she was able to flee, she stated in the FIR.

She added that the watchman followed her but the school van arrived and she got into it and left for home. “At first, I was afraid to tell anybody at home but now I am reporting the incident to the police to save other students from such attacks,” she stated in the FIR.

The SHO said that the police were conducting raids to arrest the suspect who had fled the area.
