TAXILA: A bus driver was shot dead over old enmity on Hazara road in Hassanabdal police area on Friday.

As a result, the driver lost control over the bus which fell in a roadside ditch, injuring 14 female workers of a private biscuit factory.

Police while quoting the victim and eyewitnesses said the bus was carrying female factory workers from Hassanabdal to Hattar industrial estate.

The victims said two masked men came on a motorcycle and opened fire on the driving side of the bus.

The driver of the bus Yousaf Khan, 44, died on the spot while 14 female workers were injured as a result of accident.
