TAXILA: A woman was allegedly murdered on Friday in the jurisdiction of Fatehjang police station whereas three other people died and as many others were injured in different incidents.

In the first incident, the woman was allegedly strangled to death by her husband and his companions. Akhter Muneer, a resident of Charsadda, reported to police that his sister got married a few years ago and relations between the couple were not good. On Friday, the suspect along with his five other companions strangled the victim to death. The police shifted the deceased’s body to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital for autopsy and started further investigation after registration of a murder case against the suspect.

Moreover, a teenage boy died and his three other friends were injured while performing a stunt in the jurisdiction of Hazro police station. Police, while quoting eye witnesses and family members said that 18-year-old Mohammad Habib along with Kashif and Zubair, on his motorcycle was travelling towards Attock with a marriage party of their relatives. Near G.T. road he lost control over the vehicle due to over speeding while doing a stunt and resultantly the motorcycle crashed into a bus coming from the opposite direction. Habib died on the spot while his friends were injured.

Another truck crashed into a motorcycle on Haro bridge near Garryala and resultantly two people riding on the motorcycle, identified as 35-year-old Jameel and 30-year-old Ameer were injured critically.

Separately, 25-year-old Ali Raza, a student of University of Wah was on his way home but when he was crossing Margalla hills on G.T. road, a tree fell on him due to a thunderstorm resulting in him sustaining head injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he passed away.

Moreover, a motorcyclist died near Darbar Kareemi after being hit by a speeding dumper.
