Two sisters killed in Charsadda road mishap

CHARSADDA: Two sisters were killed when a loaded tractor trolley hit them on the College Road in front of their house at Samiullah Korona area of Tangi tehsil here on Wednesday.

According to residents and police, Samia and Haleema, daughters of Amanat Khan, were playing outside their house on the College Road when a tractor trolley came and hit them.

As a result, both received serious injuries and were taken to the THQ hospital, Tangi, where doctors pronounced them dead. The bodies were handed over to the family after the postmortem.

The driver escaped after the accident. However, the police impounded the tractor trolley and have started investigation.

Meanwhile, five miscreants on two motorcycles opened firing on a police mobile van at Rajar bypass road, leaving ASI Tariq Khan injured.

According to reports, the police party was on a routine patrolling on Rajar Bypass near Sui gas office and signalled five accused riding on two motorcycles to stop. The police mobile started chasing them when they tried to flee.

Later, the riders opened firing on the police and as a result ASI Tariq Khan was injured. The injured policeman was taken to the DHQ hospital, Charsadda.
