A raiding team headed by Assistant Commissioner Osama Sharoon Niazi also recovered hundreds of litres of milk and maunds of unwholesome desi ghee prepared with chemicals and machinery.

Deputy Commissioner Asiya Gul on a tip-off formed a team that raided three factories near Habibabad.

The team arrested five men red-handed from the factories while the rest managed their escape.

The assistant commissioner sealed the factories.

The AC also filed a complaint with the Pattoki police against the owners of the factories.

Police were looking into the case.

In the past, such raids were conducted but the suspects would restart their business after paying some fine. It was learnt that unwholesome desi ghee and milk is supplied in bulk to food chains in Lahore.
