SHANGLA: A young man was killed and another injured when a Swat-bound car fell into a ravine in Drad Sargay area of Puran here on Monday.

Police officials said the car was heading towards Mingora from Puran. They said the accident occurred when the driver lost control over the steering. They identified the victim as Naveed Khan of Puran tehsil. Mohammad Riaz was identified as the injured.

The officials said the local people and police personnel retrieved the body and the injured from the ravine and shifted them to Pir Mohammad Khan Shaheed Hospital, Puran. The injured was later shifted to Saidu Teaching Hospital.

Separately, the tehsil municipal administration, Chakesar, on Monday launched a one-window facility for online approval of building maps.

Mohammad Ghyour Khan, enforcement officer of TMA Chakesar, said citizens could apply through online application forms.
