LAHORE: Jamaat-i-Islami emir Sirajul Haq says Prime Minister Imran Khan has introduced a unique method of governance by changing portfolios of the ministers after every few months.

Talking to party workers here on Friday, he said the method was surprising for the people and it was unprecedented in the world.

The prime minister, Siraj added, was trying to run the country like setting fielding in the cricket ground but he should keep in mind that the tactics of replacement of positions would not work in presence of incapable players. He considered the ruling elite the cause of the country’s problems.

He pointed out that the players in the PTI team remained a part of all old set-ups and now they were ‘busy’ to accomplish the so-called mission of ‘change’. He said it could be easily estimated from the performance of the PTI that it had badly failed to bring about any change in any field. He said it seemed the government would not be able to provide any relief to the masses in the remaining two years of its tenure too. He termed the PTI government a protector of the status quo and it could not meet the public expectations.

The JI chief warned that the implementation of the International Monetary Fund-led policies would bring about further destruction of the economy and the common man’s life. He said the JI would launch a ‘Go-IMF-Go’ movement if the government did not take back the anti-people policies or raised the electricity and gas prices on the direction of the international lender.
