SWABI: Two persons were killed and as many injured when two motorcycles collided head-on due to over-speeding here on Saturday.

Rescue 1122 officials said the accident occurred on the Topi by-pass road near the Hamlet village, adding one of the motorcycles was coming to the Topi market.

As a result of the collision, Yousaf Ali hailing from Baja village and Hasibullah from Topi city died on the spot.

A Rescue 1122 team shifted the bodies to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Topi, for autopsy, and the injured to the Bacha Khan Hospital Complex, Shahmansoor.

The injured were identified as Ikram Khan and Akhtar Hussian both belonging to the local Afghan refugee camp.

Separately, unknown attackers shot dead a man identified as Shamas Qamar in Dara village.

A brother of the deceased got registered an FIR with the Swabi city police station against unidentified persons. He stated that the cause of the incident was not known as they had no enmity with anyone. He said the deceased was on way home when he was targeted.
