KOHAT: The district administration has arranged a tele-clinic to extend psychological treatment to those having suffered mentally due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
District health officer Dr Sameen told Dawn on Monday that treatment available at the clinic included verbal therapy of patients who refused to take food, guidance to the family members and friends on how to deal with them and address depression.
He said medical treatment would be advised to those who did not respond to psychological treatment.
He said people who had been through yearlong effects of precautionary measures of wearing masks and following other SOPs could also benefit from the tele treatment.
He said the family members of the patients had also been affected and needed to be taught that the disease was treatable if guidelines were followed.
He said lady psychologists Dr Laila and Dr Robeena would be available from 10am to 11am on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as team leaders for treatment of patients.
He said male doctors were also available for mental treatment of patients.
