GUJRAT: Sara-i-Alamgir Assistant Commissioner Ahsan Mumtaz on Monday sealed at least two major housing societies locating near Rakh Pabbi Sarkar forest area between Kharian and Sara-i-Alamgir along GT Road.

The AC said Barraq City and Gold Residencia had been working illegally as the management of these societies was advertising as well as selling the plots without any lawful approval from the authorities.

He said the action had been taken after several complaints against the management of these societies.

The official team comprising land revenue, police and local bodies officials also removed the publicity boards installed in front of main offices as well as the under-construction main gates.

Meanwhile, Sara-i-Alamgir AC also retrieved 27 kanals piece of state land in Rehmanpura area through an operation.
