PESHAWAR: A delegation of US diplomats called on Governor Shah Farman at the Governor’s House here on Monday.

The delegation included Secretary for Pakistan Affairs Mr Lesslie D Viguerie, Acting US Counsel General in Peshawar Mr Jim Eisenhut and Political and Economic Section Chief Ms Andrea Hilyer.

The two sides discussed matters of mutual interest and ties between the two countries, and emphasised the need for strengthening the people-to-people contacts between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the US to bring a positive change in the region.

Governor Farman said KP was enriched with various natural resources and the US could explore this potential, especially in agriculture and mineral sectors.

The US delegation expressed gratitude to the governor for his hospitality and assured to work further with the government of Pakistan in different sectors.
