NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Five terrorists, including two militant leaders, were killed (partly reported on Sunday) in two intelligence-based operations in Khaisur and Mirali areas of North Waziristan tribal district during the last 24 hours.

According to an ISPR statement, security forces conducted the intelligence-based operations in Khaisur and Mirali localities of North Waziristan tribal district. During the operations, militant leaders Saifullah Noor of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan Gohar group and Syed Raheem alias Abid of the TTP AKK Group and three other terrorists were killed.

According to the statement, Saifullah Noor was directly involved in different improvised explosive devices’ attacks on security forces in Khaisur area of North Waziristan district.

Syed Raheem was involved in 17 terrorist activities against security forces from 2007. He was in-charge of two suicide bomber centers in Wana and Mir Ali. He was tasked by hostile agencies with targeted killings, recruiting new terrorists and organising terrorist activities.

The statement said that Syed Rahim was involved in terrorist activities from November 2020 till January 2021.

He was involved in the killing of four tribal elders in the Mirali area and three engineers working in a company in North Waziristan and many IED attacks.
