DADU: Police stopped marriage of 13-year-old girl with a 40-year-old man after raid on a house in the jurisdiction of B-Section police station on Sunday.
After the raid which was led by Women and Child Protection Cell in-charge Benazir Jamali police took the teenage girl Karishma Jatoi into protective custody and detained the prospective bridegroom Liaquat Otho and the girl’s father Mehboob Jatoi.
Later, police registered an FIR on a complaint lodged by Benazir Jamali against the bridegroom, his father Mehboob Otho and the girl’s father.
