NAROWAL: Ten petrol pumps were sealed in Narowal tehsil for storing petrol and diesel.

A team comprising Assistant Commissioner Syeda Tahnit Bukhari, Assistant Commissioner Customs Maryam Fatima, District Civil Defence Officer Muhammad Asim Riaz Wahla and District Officer Industry Zeeshan Ali sealed 10 petrol pumps for storing petrol and diesel.

Mr Wahla said the owners of petrol pumps on Narowal-Muridke Road and Narowal-Pasrur Road had stored petrol and diesel ahead of increase in prices of petroleum products.

He said storage of petrol and diesel was causing severe inconvenience to the citizens.

Girl raped: A youth allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl in Dhabliwala village late on Wednesday when she was alone at home with her siblings.

The alleged rapist broke into the house at night and threatened to kill her with a sharp instrument.

He took her to an animal pen in the village and raped her.

When the girl’s condition became critical, he fled. Locals gathered at the spot and alerted the family.

A case has been registered against the suspect with the Narowal Saddar police.
