12 Karak police officials sacked

KARAK: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IGP Dr Sanaullah Abbasi has terminated 12 police personnel, including two station house officers, in the aftermath of the vandalising of a Hindu shrine (Samadhi) in Teri area of Karak on Dec 30.

Karak district police officer Irfanullah has already been transferred.

Official sources said here on Wednesday that the policemen were terminated for negligence and failing to prevent the mob attack on the shrine.

The terminated personnel include SHO Teri police station Rehmatullah Wazir and SHO Mujeebur Rehman; Javaid Hussain, Ali Faisal, Noor Zada, Wahid Khan, Rashid Minhas, Waqar Ahmad, Mohammad Iqbal, Rabnawaz, Waqas and Amanullah.
