LAHORE: The Punjab government on Saturday transferred Deputy Commissioner D.G. Khan retired Flt-Lt Tahir Farooq and posted him as Personal Staff Officer to Chief Minister against a vacant post.

The government also transferred Deputy Secretary Chief Minister’s office retired Capt Muhammad Ali Ijaz and posted him as Deputy Commissioner D.G. Khan.

It may be mentioned that the Punjab government had on Friday posted OSD Aamir Aqiq Khan as Deputy Commissioner, Okara.

WITHDRAWN: The Punjab government has withdrawn the Social Welfare and Baitul Maal portfolio from law minister Basharat Raja and entrusted him with another portfolio of Cooperatives.

A notification issued here on Saturday said law minister Basharat Raja would continue holding its original and major portfolio of Law and Parliamentary Affairs.
