
LOWER DIR: Awami National Party provincial president Aimal Wali Khan has said that Pakistan Democratic Movement is the last ray of hope of the people of the country to get rid of the incompetent and ‘selected’ government.
He was talking to journalists after inaugurating Bacha Khan Markaz in Chakdara here on Sunday. ANP parliamentary leader in provincial assembly Sardar Hussain Babak, MPA Haji Bahadar Khan, ANP senior vice president Hussain Shah Yousafzai, district general secretary Malik Mohammad Zeb and other party workers were also present on the occasion.
Aimal Wali spent a busy day in Adenzai area of Lower Dir where he along with other leaders visited the hujras of Advocate Gul Munir Khan in Shabad Ouch, Haji Abdur Rehman Khan and Shahe Room Khan in Chakdara, Khalid Saifullah in Shawa and Haji Wasil Khan.
The ANP leaders offered Fateha on the death of Khalid Saifullah’s 8th grader daughter and condoled her sudden demise.
Says ANP lawmakers will resign if opposition decides so
Meanwhile, PML-N tehsil president Advocate Gul Munir Khan, PPP’s Advocate Attaullah Khan, PTI’s Abdur Rehman Khan, former tehsil councillor Imtiaz Khan, PPP’s activists Shahe Room Khan, Fakhre Alam Khan and others announced to join ANP.
Aimal Wali said that all the opposition parties were united to get rid of the government. He said that the ANP lawmakers would resign if PDM decided so.
The ANP leader said that terrorists were regrouping in tribal districts, Dir and Swat but government was silent.
Later the ANP leaders also addressed a party meeting in Ramora. They asked the party workers to participate in the PDM Peshawar rally on November 22.
PROTEST: Hundreds of residents of Lajbok here on Sunday held a protest rally against the killing of four members a family in Shah Alam Baba area.
The protesters demanded of police to take notice of the incident and arrest the killers. They said that the vehicle of Wahab Gul was attacked in Shah Alam Baba the other day. Four members of the family were killed and three others were injured in the attack, they said and termed the incident an act of terrorism.
Meanwhile, the district administration closed a private educational institution, Global Education Academy, in Timergara after registering five coronavirus cases.
Also, a farmer identified as Salim Khan, a resident of Naqai Ouch, was injured when an unidentified person opened fire on him in his field on Saturday night.
