KHAIRPUR, Sept 28: The Sindh president of the Pakistan Muslim League (Functional), Pir Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi, has said that all nominations for district and taluka nazims were based on merit and the party preferred candidates from the working class.

He was speaking to a gathering of party members at the Wada Machhiyoon here on Tuesday evening.

On the occasion, Saleemullah Solangi, the Rajooni Ittehad Machhiyoon union council nazim, Naib Nazim Abdul Jabbar Tagar and eleven councillors announced to join the PML-F-backed Khairpur Dost Panel.

TWO ASIs BOOKED: Two assistant sub-inspectors of police, Ghulam Qasim Sher and Abdul Ghafoor Mojai, have been booked for illegally detaining two persons at the Tando Mir Ali police station, Thari Mirwah taluka.

ASI Mumtaz Ali Dasti registered a case against them on the complaints of Rahib Khan Oad and Saheb.

KIDNAPPING CASE: Jindul Gopang, a resident of the Sono Gopang village, registered a case with the Kotdiji police on Wednesday against five persons for kidnapping her daughter, Laila, wife of Bahadur Ali.

The accused were Syed Qasim Shah, Yasin Shah, Abid Shah, Dinal Shah and Qurban Shah.

She said that her daughter had been kidnapped on Tuesday at the Imam Shah Dargah.
