LAHORE: Coronavirus claimed the lives of 10 people during the last 24 hours in Punjab.

Most deaths were reported in Lahore, while the others were from Multan, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi, according to official figures.

Meanwhile, 134 more people tested positive for Covid-19 during the same period all over the province.

According to latest figures, Lahore reported 69 new cases and Multan and Rawalpindi 12 each. Others were reported from Nankana Sahib, Muzaffargarh, Jhelum, Faisalabad, Khanewal, Sarghoda, Gujrat, Bhakkar, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Vehari, Sheikhupura and Khushab.

Health authorities said that so far 97,089 patients of Covid-19 had recovered since the outbreak of the disease. The death toll was 2,298, while the total number of infections in Punjab was 101,559 so far.
