DERA MURAD JAMALI: A strike was observed here on Tuesday and traffic remained suspended between Quetta and the rest of the country from dawn to dusk as people belonging to all walks of life, including traders, workers and supporters of nine political parties and tribal elders, blocked the National Highway in protest against non-resolution of problems faced by the people of Nasirabad division.

All markets and business centres remained closed in the entire division on the joint call of different political parties, Anjuman Tajran and Citizens Action Committee.

Thousands of people, including political activists carrying placards and banners inscribed with their demands marched on the main roads and blocked the National Highway, putting barricades and boulders on it.
