Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported 1,035 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours — its highest single-day total, taking the provincial tally to 17,450, according to the KP health department.
The province's death toll from the virus has risen to 661 with 19 more deaths reported — five in Peshawar, four in Nowshera, two each in Kohat and Orakzai and one each in Hangu, Malakand, Mardan, Lower Dir, Mohmand and Battagram.
