'Pakistan’s capital markets faced challenges on multiple fronts, including high inflation and Covid-19'

Pakistan Economic Survey 2019-20 was unveiled on Thursday.

"In FY2020, Pakistan’s capital markets faced challenges on multiple fronts. High inflation, austerity measures, oil price crash and Covid-19 pandemic jolted the capital market," noted the Pakistan Economic Survey 2019-20. "As a result, Pakistan’s benchmark KSE-100 index recorded a modest growth of 0.61 per cent in the first ten months of FY2020."
