Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar said that the premier met with the leadership of the Insaf Doctors Forum and paid tribute to the role medical professionals are playing in battling the outbreak.

In a tweet, he said: "Prime minister highly appreciated the role of health workers in combating #Covidー19 and he emphasised the need for health reforms to strengthen the healthcare system in the country."

According to Radio Pakistan, the two sides also discussed health sector reforms introduced by the government. PM Imran regretted that health sector was ignored in the past due to which the common man is facing difficulties in accessing health facilities.
