KARACHI: Two women were among three persons who drowned in two separate incidents on Sunday, said officials of rescue services.

The body of a young man was found floating at sea near a Clifton mall, said an Edhi Foundation spokesperson.

The body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre to fulfil medico-legal formalities. The deceased’s identity could not be ascertained.

In the other incident, two women drowned in Hub Dam.

The Edhi Foundation spokesperson said that they received information on Sunday evening that two women had drowned in the Hub Dam and it was believed that they had died.

They were identified as Mukha Khaskheli and Sumera Khaskheli.

The women were said to have gone there to fetch drinking water when they drowned.
