Government of Sindh has suspended the services of Civil Hospital's Dr Jagdesh Kumar after investigating the death of Dr Furqanul Haq, according to a notification issued by the provincial health department.

"The services of Dr Jagdesh Kumar are hereby placed under suspension," the notification reads.

Earlier, an inquiry held into the death of Dr Furqan from coronavirus had concluded in its report that "misjudgment" on part of a medical officer at Civil Hospital was the cause of his death.

The report had recommended initiation of disciplinary proceedings against Dr Jagdesh for "his misjudgement".
