GUJRAT is the second most affected district by coronavirus after Lahore. It has at least 62 positive cases. These Covid-19 victims are admitted to various hospitals.

The number of positive cases is increasing day by day. The district administration is doing a great job with meagre resources. I urge Dr Zafar Mirza, special assistant to prime minister on healthcare, to take notice of this challenging situation and ensure more testing in Gujrat. There are still many expatriates who recently returned to Pakistan from Spain and Italy, but have not been screened by health officials.

Gujrat may become a coronavirus epicentre in Punjab and may be a source of spread of the virus if things do not improve. The Iranian government ignored the first coronavirus case in Qom and now we see the country devastated as the virus has spread exponentially.
