Okara University

THE University of Okara, which is still under-construction, has started doing a wonderful job by providing quality higher education to youth of the area, especially to students who belong to poor families which cannot afford to send their wards to expensive campuses in Lahore and other cities.

One appreciates the university administration for the spirit to do the best with meagre funds. At present some of the classes of are being held in makeshift arrangements — even in tents — for lack of financial resources.

This is a request to the Punjab government and also the centre to immediately provide funds to the university, so that the buildings of different faculties are constructed soon.
