QUETTA: Balochistan Governor retired Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has said that peace has finally been restored in the province as a large number of police officers and soldiers rendered sacrifices in protecting people’s lives and properties.

Speaking as the chief guest at the passing-out parade of new recruits of the Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) and Levies force here on Saturday, the governor said these personnel would help in maintaining law and order and building a conducive and peaceful environment in the province.

He congratulated the newly inducted recruits and expressed the hope that they would perform their duties with honesty and deviation.

As many as 322 recruits, who have completed their special training course, participated in the passing out parade.

It was eleventh batch of the ATF which includes 36 Levies personnel.

Home Minister Ziaullah Langove, Inspector General of Police Mohsin Hassan Butt and other senior police officers also attended the passing out parade.

Speaking on the occasion, the IGP said that the ATF has emerged as a concrete wall against terrorism while it remained on the frontline in eliminating terrorism from Balochistan.

He said the force needed latest weapons, equipment and vehicles, which would be provided to them.

The IGP said police and Levies have improved their skills by receiving modern training from the ATF School.
