MIANWALI: There is no shortage of wheat flour in the district and it is available to the general public at 92 sale points, says Deputy Commissioner Omer Sher Chattha.

He told Dawn that there are 255,739 bags of wheat available in various godowns of the food department that is releasing 2,125 bags of wheat per day to nine flour mills for grinding. These flour mills, he said, are supplying 6,375 bags of 20kg to these sale points every day.

At each sale point, a 20kg flour bag is being sold at Rs805. He said banners about sale of flour at the sale points had been displayed at conspicuous places for awareness of people. All these sale points are being monitored by the food department as well as by the revenue department.
