DADU: Canal breach

DADU, Aug 18: A 70-foot breach developed in the Rice Canal near Kolachi Mori, Mehar town, on Thursday. The building of the Kolachi health centre, old graveyard, 25 houses and agriculture land were inundated. Growers were trying to plug the breach till the filing of this report.

A group of affected growers held a demonstration against irrigation officials. They regretted that irrigation officials had not reached the site despite information.—Correspondent
