RAWALPINDI: The Central Working Committee of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (AJKMC) today [Jan 6] expressed its grave concern over the arrests of freedom fighters and other atrocities in occupied Kashmir and asked the Pakistan Government to take effective steps on international level to frustrate the Indian conspiracy to turn the Muslim majority there into a minority.

The Committee, which met under the chairmanship of Sardar Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, the AJKMC President, in a resolution adopted by it, drew the attention of the Pakistan Government particularly to the activities of Jan Sangh goondas and the Indian Army in the occupied territory. The resolution assured the freedom fighters in occupied Kashmir that the people of Azad Kashmir were prepared to give every sacrifice to throw out Indian imperialism.

Expressing concern over the reports of Indian Government designs to partition occupied Kashmir, the Committee warned that 50 lakh people of the state would spare no sacrifice to maintain the entity of Jammu and Kashmir. — Agency
