GUJRANWALA, Aug 13: The Christian community has announced its support to the PPP in local bodies election throughout the district. This was stated by All Pakistan Minorities Alliance chief coordinator Rafiq Pervaiz and PPP district president Chaudhry Abdullah Virk at a joint news conference here on Saturday after signing an agreement to this effect.

They said the PPP and the Christian community were united for complete restoration of democracy in the country. They said that candidates for minority seats would be nominated by the alliance.

APCA: The All Pakistan Clerk Association (APCA) has expressed its concern over depriving the government employees of right to vote because of their election duty.

The clerks urged the chief election commissioner to allow them to cast their vote.
